How to Buy Books Online

It has become a habit to buy things online because it’s hassle-free. However, if you have to be vigilant about certain things. It is no fun being robbed with a couple of dollars.

EBayThe first thing I learned to do when I want to buy something is to go with those trusted names. Go with the big guys because they can basically afford to have people in the customer service department. Here in the Philippines, I suggest buyers to first go with EBAY.PH. If you will purchase electronics like kindle reader, digital cameras etc, you may consider AMAZON.COM but be prepared to wait for a couple of weeks and pay hefty taxes for your packages.

I have bought books via ebay and I paid through GCASH and UNIONBANK. There are sellers that accepts paypal or COD. Be very careful with the sellers and take a look at their feedback rating.

Here is an example:

Remember: Only bid on items that you are sure to pay. Sellers sometimes indicated the number of days you are given to settle the amount. After that, they will relist the items and file a case against you on EBAY. It’ll reflect badly on you and some might not be willing for you to bid anymore.

How to Pay for your Purchases?

You can send an email or ask the seller this. They will send you a list of options that you can choose from. Here are the top 5 options:

  1. GCASH
  5. COD

How long do you have to wait before you receive the items?

Honestly, I get them 2 days after payment is confirmed. It all depends on the buyers location and the seller’s schedule. The best way is to contact them, send a text message to make sure that you are updated.

Happy shopping!
